On March 13, the Advanced Seminar on Traditional Chinese Wisdom and Culture in the New Media Era officially opened at Peking University. Organized by the Tianhan Minglu Culture and Tourism Department of Bingchang Corporation, the seminar featured special lectures by Shen Liming—inheritor of traditional Chinese culture and founder of the Li Ming Tang brand—alongside esteemed professors and lecturers from Peking University and Tsinghua University, guiding participants to appreciate the depth of traditional Chinese culture.

1. Opening Ceremony: Where PKU Spirit Meets Traditional Wisdom
At 9 a.m., the opening ceremony was held at the PKU School of Journalism and Communication. Professor Lu Liang, Deputy Party Secretary of the school, delivered a welcome address, introducing PKU's history and cultural heritage. He emphasized the university's commitment to preserving traditional culture and encouraged participants to embrace the learning opportunity.
Participants then solemnly donned the PKU badge, and a class representative received the program flag. Amid applause, the seminar officially began, marking the start of a journey into traditional wisdom.

2. Shen Liming: Insights from the I Ching and Traditional Medicine
On the first day, Shen Liming shared insights into I Ching culture and traditional Chinese medicine. Using personal experiences, he illustrated how traditional values shape behavior. He described the I Ching as a philosophical treasure that offers guidance for life.
In the afternoon, he explained core TCM concepts like Yin-Yang and the Five Elements, using practical examples to demonstrate their relevance to health and wellness. His engaging style resonated deeply, with one participant noting, “Master Shen’s explanations were enlightening—they lit up my understanding of traditional culture.”

3. Innovation and Digital Transformation: Bridging Eras
On March 14, Dr. Liu Wenwen of Tsinghua University taught “Innovative Thinking and Insight,” using case studies to redefine innovation. She noted, “What you possess can become your constraint; breakthroughs come from limits.”
Later, Professor Xing Zhouling of PKU’s Guanghua School of Management explored “Corporate Digital Transformation Strategy and Practice,” addressing key questions about digitalization and engaging participants in lively discussion.

4. Personality Types and PKU Culture: Communication and Heritage
On March 15, Liu Shang, Director of the Beijing Enneagram Information Research Institute, taught “Personality Analysis and Communication Management.” He introduced seven personality types, using role-playing to practice communication skills.
That afternoon, participants toured the PKU campus, learning about its history as a center of the New Culture and May Fourth Movements. Scenic spots like the “One Pagoda, One Lake, One Library” left a deep impression.

5. PKU Spirit and Traditional Culture in Management
On March 16, Dr. Yang Hu, Vice President of Peking University Press, spoke on “PKU Culture and Spirit,” highlighting the university’s role in shaping modern Chinese education and its sense of social responsibility.
An Kang, a Tsinghua-MIT MBA graduate, then presented “Traditional Culture and Management,” linking classical texts like the Analects and Tao Te Ching to modern leadership principles.

6. Cultural Confidence and National Rejuvenation
On the final day, Professor Li Qingquan, a cultural scholar, lectured on “National Rejuvenation and Cultural Confidence,” stressing the role of cultural heritage in modernization.
Participants later shared their reflections, and certificates were awarded at the closing ceremony. Many expressed how the experience had inspired them to apply traditional wisdom in their lives and work.
