Shen Liming Donates 913,000 RMB to Build Tianxi Road, Benefiting His Hometown

In Xinying Village, Taiping Town, Zhao'an County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, a new cement road named "Tianxi Road" was built by Shen Liming to honor his father's legacy and give back to his hometown. This benevolent act has been widely praised and reported by mainstream media such as Fujian Daily and Zhao'an Television.

"Tianxi Road" was completed on March 11, 2021. The main road is 950 meters long with an average width of 4.5 meters, supplemented by two auxiliary roads, each 350 meters long and 3 meters wide. The road thickness is 15 cm. The road was funded by Mr. Shen Liming with a personal donation of 913,000 RMB.

After its completion, the road significantly improved local production and living conditions, effectively enhancing the utilization rate of agricultural machinery and field operation efficiency in Xinying Village. It plays a vital role in implementing the rural revitalization strategy, boosting agricultural output, and increasing farmers' income. Meanwhile, it has also improved the safety and convenience of travel for the villagers.

To express gratitude for Mr. Shen Liming's contribution to his hometown's public welfare, the village committee named the road "Tianxi Road." "Tianxi" was the name of Shen Liming's father. The naming serves two purposes: first, to express gratitude to Shen Tianxi for raising a successful, compassionate, and responsible son, acknowledging his profound parental love; second, to encourage Shen Liming to remember his father's teachings, remain humble and striving, and forge ahead courageously after achieving success. It reflects both the deep gratitude for parental upbringing and the heartfelt appreciation for their boundless kindness.

Shen Liming came from a poor family. As the eldest son, his father, a genuine farmer, taught him many important principles about life, which he has never forgotten. For example: One should remember one's origins and be grateful; wealth is not the most important thing for a person, having ambition is; the purpose of life is not about how much pleasure one enjoys, but about the responsibilities undertaken, the contributions made, and the burdens shouldered.

Influenced by his father, Shen Liming developed a spirit of endurance and self-reliance. He vowed from a young age that once he achieved success, he would definitely engage in public welfare to repay his hometown and society.

Shen Liming believes there are three levels of filial piety: The first is small filial piety – accompanying and providing for parents, i.e., supporting them. The second is medium filial piety – inheritance and continuation, i.e., having children to continue the family line. The third level is great filial piety – transcendence and pioneering, i.e., promoting parents' aspirations, achieving success, and bringing honor to the family. Beyond building "Tianxi Road," for over twenty years, Shen Liming has never forgotten his father's teachings. Shen Liming's public welfare journey can be summarized into three periods:

I. The Challenging Period (Low Point)

Despite his humble position, he did not forget to care for his country; final judgment requires the closing of the coffin.

Born in 1973, Shen Liming started working in 1999. The period from 1999 to 2009 was a ten-year low point in his life, filled with the bitterness of entrepreneurial failures, leaving him with nothing and heavily in debt. Despite these harsh conditions and relentless setbacks, he still cared deeply for his hometown, striving to contribute to its development as much as possible.

• 2004: Despite repeated entrepreneurial failures and 30,000 RMB in debt, Shen Liming used his credit card to donate 5,000 RMB for building roads in his hometown.

• 2005: He used his credit card to donate 8,000 RMB for renovating a century-old temple in his hometown.

• 2006: He borrowed money to donate 10,000 RMB for rebuilding a century-old bridge in his home village.

II. The Development Period (Turning Point & Growth)

From 2009 to 2018, was Shen Liming's turning point. After establishing Li Ming Tang Global in 2009, the company experienced rapid development under his leadership over the next decade, growing from a small stall into a group corporation. Although his achievements during this period were not yet dazzling, his commitment to public welfare grew stronger.

• 2014: Donated 50,000 RMB to renovate the Shen Clan Ancestral Hall in his home village.

• June 2014: Donated 168,876 RMB to You Shanshan (suffering from aplastic anemia) from Pudong Primary School in Jieyang, Guangdong.

• November 2016: Donated a total of 310,000 RMB in charitable funds and auction proceeds through the Guangdong Yixin Charity Foundation to help out-of-school children and cover medical expenses for solitary elderly individuals.

• August 31, 2018: Donated 30,000 RMB to help needy students Yang Jianwen (university) and Lan Zhuoqi (art school) realize their educational dreams.

• September 2018: Visited and donated money and supplies totaling 60,000 RMB to children with severe leukemia at Nanfang Hospital.

• November 2018: Visited the Guangzhou Baiyun Nursing Home to bring warmth and donate supplies for the elderly, totaling 40,000 RMB.

• November 2018: Donated 500,000 RMB for cancer patients' treatment costs.

III. The Soaring Period (Expansion & Greater Impact)

In success, one seeks to benefit the world; in hardship, one maintains one's own integrity.

The year 2018 marked the beginning of Shen Liming's rapid and leapfrog development. Starting in 2018, he successively founded three major corporations, advancing towards a more brilliant future. Shen Liming firmly believes that with greater ability comes greater responsibility; the more glorious the achievements of the company, the more it must give back to society, share the government's concerns, and help the people solve their difficulties. Since 2018, his public welfare efforts have expanded significantly and will continue to deepen.

• December 2019: Visited and donated money and supplies totaling 80,000 RMB to a Guangzhou nursing home.

• 2020: Donated 310,000 RMB to Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

• January 30, 2020: Donated approximately 590,000 RMB to the Hubei Charity Federation for the Wuhan pandemic.

• January-May 2020: Organized kind-hearted individuals to donate approximately 1.6 million RMB in money and supplies for Wuhan.

• June 27, 2020: Donated 13,000 RMB to help university student Andy realize her university dream.

• 2020: Donated over 913,000 RMB to build "Tianxi Road" in his hometown.

• 2020: Donated 2 million RMB to the Soong Ching Ling Foundation.

• November 23, 2020: Upon learning that Ms. Hu from Guangxi was seriously ill facing huge medical costs, Shen Liming quickly donated 50,000 RMB, encouraging her to fight the disease bravely.

• December 7, 2020: Donated 35,000 RMB to a family with a child suffering from severe congenital clubfoot, alleviating their urgent needs.

• 2021: Donated 50,000 RMB to support leukemia girl Yin Jiaying.

• 2024: Funded the continuation of the "Shen Clan Genealogy" with a million RMB.

"Giving people confidence, giving people brightness, giving people hope" is the consistent principle Shen Liming adheres to. He is not satisfied with merely providing material help but often uses the wisdom of traditional culture to help those in difficulty build confidence and restore hope in life.
